In 2013 and 2014 a number of new hotels priced in the middle range will open their doors, bridging the gap between the luxury resorts and the decaying Soviet facilities built in the 1970‚Ä≤s and 1980‚Ä≤s. Quickly finding a decent and affordable place to stay is now much easier than it was a few years ago.
Short-term vacation rentals
If you plan to stay longer than a few days, renting a private apartment could be the best option. You will have your own kitchen and most apartments also have a good internet connection. The per day price for an apartment ranges between 2000 in the winter to 3500 rubles in mid season- cheaper than most three star hotels.
Accommodation during the Games
A total of 41,000 rooms are reserved for the official hospitality program and divided among guests and fans who purchase the official package deals.
